With a gracefully upright habit, this Japanese Maple thrives in USDA hardiness zones 5 through 9. It prefers cooler temperatures ranging from 65°F to 75°F, ensuring its vibrant performance. This cultivar displays an extraordinary fall color show of radiant crimson and violet hues, contrasting beautifully with its spring and summer foliage of purple and pink highlights. In well-draining, acidic soil, it reaches a mature height of 10 to 15 feet with a similar spread, showcasing a delicate, layered branching structure. 'Purple Ghost' is moderately deer resistant, offering a striking presence in gardens where deer browse may be a concern. We can coordinate freight through common carrier freight companies for customers outside our local area. Charges will depend on current freight rates and size of load. Minimum order is $2500 with a $300 minimum freight. Please place order well ahead to allow time for making arrangements. Our responsibility for the plants will cease when they leave our nursery.
